Entry Feedback

David Hope

I got a bit lucky at times, but it was a great day’s sailing. Going mob-handed as ARCSC gave us all tremendous mutual support, so hopefully it was enjoyable for us all. Even Simon C, who wasn’t racing today, enjoyed his bench seat by the water for the best view in the house.

Also thanks to Huntingdon for such excellent organisation, and (Stephen?) who made the most amazing selection of cakes for us all to enjoy. 👏👏👏

John Mawer

I called in twice today, what a great day it looked for it. And the cakes and coffee were excellent.

Dick Williams

A great set of results, whether you are at the top of the results table, in the middle or around the bottom. Well done of course to David Hope, but also to Bill for taking part but presumably dropping out with gear failure. Interesting to see how closely matched Malcolm, Oli and Charles were, all on 52 points. I was thinking of you all throughout the day and I hope you enjoyed the experience, whether luck was on your side or not. Congratulations to Simon Camp ( me old mate and co commentator Campy) for driving to Hunts to support the team…. nice one Simon. Finally, well done to Hunts for organising what looks to have been a highly successful event. I’m tempted to join, the club being 51 miles from me and virtually the same distance as Dovercourt when Alton sail there. I also have a few friends who race dinghies at Hunts. Very well done Hunts Radio yacht Club.

Glenn Meekcoms

Great to finally meet you all.

Thank you for a great days racing, it was a credit to your club how well it was run, you would never guess it was your first attempt.

I am very jealous of your facilities there & look forward to racing there again soon.

I am sure you all learnt a huge amount from running the event & hope the confidence gained will encourage the club to run a few more.

The high entry level came as a pleasant surprise to all the clubs that have put their names forward to run a round of the proposed district championship next year, & I am confident it will be a success.

Everyone who contributed to the organisation of todays event should be proud of their achievement, it was very obvious that a lot of preparation had gone into it.

Take care see you all soon & thank you again..

Ronnie Bird

Please thank all your members who worked tirelessly throughout to make this day such a success. I hope in the not to distant future that we may be able to welcome you all to our neck of the woods and return your hospitality!

Morning Committee!

Martin and I just wanted to let you all know how much we, like all the other attendees, appreciated the huge effort you put in yesterday and what a fantastic event we thought it was!

We definitely felt the entertainment value was much more than the £2 each we paid yesterday, so I’ve put another £10 into the club coffers just now which should show up in the account tomorrow, Noel.

Thank you again and please don’t hesitate to ask if we can assist in any way with the next one. Doing a turn as an Observer is beyond me , but I could help with something I’m sure.

Hope you all enjoy a restful Sunday
